If you have been injured in an accident, it is crucial that you seek immediate medical attention. You would have very likely experienced shock, which means your endocrine glands released some powerful hormones to help your system deal with the trauma - adrenaline and cortisol. These hormones may in the short term block any symptoms/pain that you may later experience, of course, depending on how injured you were, and are released to help you deal with the immediate shock at hand. Hence, it is possible that immediately after the accident, and possibly for some time thereafter, you may not realize that you are hurt or injured.

We are here to help you navigate the legal and insurance systems, which we hope will allow you to concentrate on healing. In times of stress, such as that which is likely experienced in an accident, the sympathetic nervous system is activated. However, in the long term, if the sympathetic system remains turned on, negative consequences may occur. Therefore, healers recommend that we learn to activate our parasympathetic system to heal from trauma.

Below are some links to practices that I have found to be helpful to my own healing and health and also to some talks which I find useful to understanding healing and health.

Please do not perform the physical practices without consulting with your medical providers, and please do not do any of the poses or movements if they cause any discomfort/pain.
